Description: Melanotan II is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide analog of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH) that acts as a non-selective agonist of the melanocortin receptors, with notable activity at the MC3 and MC4 subtypes. In research models, it is used to investigate melanocortin receptor signaling and downstream pathways governing melanogenesis and pigmentation.
