- Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide (Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro) derived from the ACTH(4-10) fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone, stabilised against enzymatic degradation by a C-terminal Pro-Gly-Pro extension and lacking corticotropic hormonal activity.
