- Tesamorelin is a synthetic 44-amino-acid analog of human growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), stabilized by an N-terminal trans-3-hexenoyl acylation that confers resistance to enzymatic degradation. It functions as a GHRH receptor agonist, and in endocrine and metabolic research models it is used to investigate the pulsatile stimulation of pituitary growth-hormone secretion and downstream IGF-1 signaling.
